Welcome!

Hello,

Welcome to the Rose-Hulman iGEM team blog! iGEM stands for International Genetically Engineered Machine. The iGEM Foundation promotes education, competition, advancement of synthetic biology, and the development of open community and collaboration. iGEM is an independent nonprofit organization located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The iGEM Foundation organizes and operates the iGEM Competition which hosts many undergraduate schools that participate in a synthetic biology projects. The projects are all based on the lab work done by each team. A wiki site, poster, and presentation by members off the team will illustrate the lab work done and will be judged by a number of judges.

This blogs goal is to update everyone on Rose-Hulman’s synthetic biology project CUPID that we plan to present at the regional Jamboree in Toronto, CA this upcoming October 4-6, 2013. CUPID stands for Constructing a Unique Platform for Interspecies Dependence. Learn more about us by going to the “about” section!
